Navelate is a late-season Navel orange of medium to large size. The Navelate has a relatively small, concealed navel and thin, fairly leathery skin. The eating quality is good, being sweet and fine.

Growers have found Navelate to give a mixed performance, sometimes producing light crops, sometimes low in juice.

Origin: The Navelate is a natural limb mutation of Washington Navel, discovered in 1948 in Vinaroz, Castellón, Spain by D.A. Gil. It was released for commercial production in 1957.
