Glen Ample is a well known mid-season raspberry variety with large, fleshy fruit. Berries are bright red, firm and of excellent flavour, with an average size of 5.4g. Many consumers would consider Glen Ample to be a more traditional variety as it has a good level of tanginess as well as the flavour.
Origin: Glen Ample is a Scottish Crops Research Institute (SCRI) variety which is protected by EU Plant Variety Rights. Bred at SCRI, Invergowrie (now the James Hutton Institute).
