The best time of year for figs is September when we get mountains of delicious fresh Turkish figs in our stores. However, the opposite season from the southern hemisphere is not without its high-points.
Now is such a time, as the South African season is in full flow and examples from Peru and Argentina are also available. Our favourite is the Baby fig on sale in M&S (variety not stated) and Tesco (variety: Ronde de Bordeaux): delicious!
