Sempre is a small to medium sized pear. It has a stubby, obovate pyriform shape. The smooth skin is pale green to pale yellow, and is relatively thin, so does not neceassily need peeling. The flesh is creamy white and smooth. The pear can be eaten in a hard state, but is best if left to soften slightly. This is a sweet, but mild-flavoured pear.
Sempre is an early season variety and is fairly typical of such pears in its mild flavour and sweetness.
Good Fruit Guide Rating: **
