Desert

Desert is a medium sized, black seedless grape with a deep black-purple hue. The berries are round in shape. On eating, the skin is quite noticable as the flesh is soft and bursts from the skin as it is pierced. The skin gives a slight crunch to the berry and can be very mildly bitter, but doesn’t detract from the eating experience. The flesh is very sweet and there is a noticeable flavour of vanilla, which makes for a very attractive table grape.

Desert Seedless is one the earliest black seedless grape available.

Origin: Desert Seedless is a trademarked variety of South African origin. In Australia, it is exclusive to ANCIF (Australian Nurserymen’s Fruit Improvement Co.Ltd).
