Tawny Seedless is a seedless red grape with naturally large, round berries. The skin colour varies between dark red and crimson. The skin is usually easy to penetrate, but can be tough, though does not affect the eating quality and dissolves with the flesh giving a pleasant light, mildly crunchy texture. The berries have a neutral flavour with good sweetness, a mild tanginess and good juice levels.
Tawny is an early-mid season variety. Growers are attracted to Tawny because of its productivity, low labour requirement, resistance to rain, no micro-cracking and good storage life.
